Get baking with this popular chocolate chip cookie recipe and treat your friends and family. You can add extras to suit - we add nuts, cranberries and raisins to change things up. Let us know how you get on!

- 300g butter
- 300g Brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 220g oats
- 400g flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp bread soda
- 250g chocolate drops (any kind)(dark, white or milk chocolate)
- Optional: Dried cranberries, raisins, banana chips, nuts, fudge
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
Mix rest of dry ingredients
Add 2 to 1 in mixed and add eggs
Once combined spoon on to greaseproof paper and roll, then use tin foil and roll into large sausage shape log and refrigerate until solid
When ready to cook, take off foil and cut out biscuits to desired size
Cook for 12 minutes at 170 degrees
Remember the bigger the cookie the longer it will take to cook. If you want a dryer or crisper cookie, make thinner
