Co Clare has some of the best locations for fishing in Ireland

Liscannor Beach, Co Clare

This beach produces bass and flounder in suitable conditions.

Parking is at the lay-by just beyond the pitch and putt Course. The fishing area is just 200 yards east of the parking area towards the mouth of the River Inagh.

Lahinch Beach, Co Clare

This beach produces flounder, bass and some plaice using lugworm, ragworm and sandeel. It is very popular and can be busy particularly in July and August, we recommend using the stretch below the promenade. There is good parking facilities on the promenade.

Cregg Beach, Co Clare

This beach produces flounder on the flooding tide where the fresh water stream enters the sea. This small beach is one mile south of Lahinch and you can park at the track junction at the head of the beach.

White Strand (Travaun), Co Clare

This beach produces flatfish and bass. It is situated 2.5 kms north west of Milltown Malbay. There is good parking facilities and is popular with bathers in July and August.

Spanish Point, Co Clare

This beach is on the northern side of the village and has easy access and good parking at the head of the beach. This is a surf beach and the main area is south of the Black Rock. Fishing the flooding tide using lugworm and sandeel produces flatfish and bass. There is also the opportunity to spin for pollack on the Black Rock at the northern end of the beach.

Seafield Pier and Beach, Co Clare

This beach produces flounder and bass. Seafield Pier is 2.5 kms south west of Quilty. There are plenty of parking at the head of the main beach.
